Hope everyone had a great 4th weekend. Sorry about the lateness of this post. I am terrible at keeping up to date with my blog and there is just no good reason.
Anyway…..we had a really nice weekend. The weather was wonderful, the activities were fun, and the food was delicious.
We took a 4 mile hike in Robert H Treman State Park on Saturday. Here are some shots of the beautiful sights we saw and some of us too.
Those day lilies are growing right out of the rocks. And if you look closely you can see in the photo at the top right the length of the trail, or so we thought. That was just to the upper part of the park. Then you could either turn around and walk the two miles back the way you came, or like we did, you can continue on and complete a four mile loop. It was rugged walking in some places but the trail was well marked and there were a lot of other people walking it too. And as you can tell from a couple of the photos, there were lots of stairs……..LOTS of stairs. 🙂
We saw a lot of waterfalls as well along the creek that the trail followed. Here are some shots of them.
This tree was popular with a lot of people.
We felt tired but good when we finally got to the end. Our leg muscles were a little fatigued from walking down about a hundred steps, but we enjoyed it all. I hope you enjoyed this post and until next time, have a great and blessed day.
